another fun blog

Once again, I am sitting here struggling to come up with a blog topic. I am at school and feeling like something is missing. And know I know what it is: my best friend, running partner, comic relief and enthusiastic stick fetcher- my dog, Keaty.
About three years ago my boyfriend and I went to the animal shelter to "look at the dogs." We saw many cute mutts, but none of them stood out as "the one." We were about to leave and Matthew saw a cute puppy being taken out to the play area. We both followed her- mesmerized. In the play area, the puppy was splashing in the water bucket, licking my boyfriends hands and being extreamly cute. So, we took her home. We named her Keaty after a character in the noverl, The Beach. Keaty has a lot of energy and loves to go on runs with me. She swims like an otter, and dive completely under water. Since we do not have a television we count on Keat to keep us entertained. Two nights ago Keaty cornered a skunk and she still reeks of its revenge. Matthew had to drive to Safeway at eleven at night to get three big cans of tomato juice. The juice helped to get some of the smell out but I think it is going to take a long time before she doesn't make our eyes water. I know there will be a day when keaty is not around. So I try to enjoy her to the fullest and take care of her the best i can!
