First week reflection

Wow! The first week in the new classroom went by really quickly! I have a few more names to learn and remember. This week we went on two field trip and had a great time! I am looking forward to this weeks field trip- should be lots of fun. As I am learning the ropes of the new classroom- I am amazed by how creative, thoughtful, and energetic the students are.
This weekend has been fun, relaxing, and very short. I have tons of work to get through. So, this blog has to be a short one.
Take care and enjoy!

time flys

So- wow! I guess I haven't written in a while. A lot has happened since the September experience. I changed schools an cooperating teachers. I went from bilingual classroom to a first second blended classroom. I really gained a lot of from this change- I am now closer to home both physically and mentally. After this change I worked in my new classroom for five months. I taught a unit about Mammals, Habitats, and Shelters. I also read the Wizard of OZ to the kids- we had so much fun with this! On my last day in the classroom, we had an Emerald city party. I made each student a pair of green goggles and we watched to movie of Wizard of Oz. The students presented me with a book of Teaching Advice- precious! Tomorrow starts a new quarter and a new classroom. I will be in a third/ fourth/ fifth blended classroom. I am really excited to try working with older students. I think the unit i am going to design and implement will be about geometric art. But that is not set in stone. Well, I will try to write a little more often.
